Gloucester County NJ Library

A New Chapter for
Community.

Transforming a former fire station into a modern community destination, a South Jersey municipality reimagined its Gloucester County NJ library to better serve residents for generations to come. Bellia furnished the 11,000-square-foot facility with welcoming, flexible environments designed to support learning, technology, programming, and community engagement for visitors of all ages.

Bellia Insights

Today's libraries serve a much broader purpose than housing books—they function as gathering places, technology hubs, learning centers, and community resources. Flexible furnishings and thoughtfully planned spaces were selected to support everything from story time and educational programming to workshops, meetings, and everyday collaboration. The result is a welcoming destination that adapts to the evolving needs of the community while creating opportunities for connection, discovery, and lifelong learning.

This project's strongest story is the adaptive reuse of a former firehouse into a modern civic resource. That's what makes it unique compared to a typical library renovation.
